Maybe in three months.

I did ask for a hand mirror when he had most of my jaw bone exposed.
He used enough Novocaine to make and elephant go belly up.

I used to hate dentist until I realized they were doing good things for me. After that, I almost fell asleep in the chair. Slick, if it hurts, tell him. He'll shoot you up till it doesn't.

I'm not to vain to admit that at 65, I only had 3 teeth left. Smoking claims a tooth a year and the ones left weren't enough to retain my lowers anymore. I have had a full upper since `07 and decided to get implants for full lowers to snap onto. My jaw ached slightly the next day, but Vicoden fixed that. The process was actually painless. I have to wait 3 months for the jaw bone to heal around the titanium implants. If you want to know how much they costs, Google is your friend.

Get this: I fixed the hinge on his exam light and he "gave" me a free $500 reline for my uppers. I'm sure I paid for it, but he made it sound like he was "giving" it to me. I got another $400 of for paying with my CC instead of payments.

After I fixed it I jokingly told him: $200/hr - 2 hr minimum. Hey, I have over 60 years of DIY. I took my first alarm clock apart when I was 4. Didn't get it back together though. That ought to be worth something.

Tough to discount experience.
I may may not be very good at mechanical diagnostics, but there ain't much I can't fix if it's broke!
My wife looks at me like McGyver. Give me a couple of toothpicks and some gum and I could build you a 747.
