To kill this thread on an optimistic note, he does not plan to be a statistic and will beat this and live twice as long as expected.

Goodbye thread.
I'm so sorry to hear about your hubby and I hope that all will go well for you both. God bless you.

Hoping for a fast and full recovery for DH, but human nature is hard to corral. Some of us do and some don't, but the main thing is we are all in it for the long haul. Glad he is able to receive the type of care we have available today here in this country. Next year may be a different story.
Happy trails soon.

Good for him! And you. Prayers for you both. The wife and I are both going to quit by this time next year.

Sorry to hear of DH's problem. I wish him a speedy recovery. I smoked for 35 years, but quit 10 years ago. I had a friend who had a lung taken out 15 years ago. He was a heavy smoker, and carried on with it after the surgery. We just buried him last month. Up till then he still swore it was not the smokes. He did make it to 74!

Is there a test for determining if she was or wasn't a lady? (flame suit installed.)

The test is. Can she make Bacon after drinking that much? And do it without burning the house down.

Aren't we still trying to establish if there really was a woman?

Getting a little ahead of ourselves having her cooking bacon don't you think?

Our prayers for your DH. I quit, for the last time, after 44 years about 7 years ago. That helped, but losing 100 pounds this last 10 month has really helped me to feel good.

Are we trying to establish if there was woman, or if the woman was lady?
