We should rename this thread to "Are You A Hoarder"

Speaking of hoarding:

A woman goes into a car dealership and is seated with the salesman.

He says "My that's a lot of money you have there. Did you hoard all that money yourself?"

The woman says "Nope, my sister whored half of it!"

(Not sure if I'll get zapped for this,is whored a swear?)

I can't stand touch screens or the flat keyboards of laptops. Its getting harder & harder to find a smart phone with a slide out keyboard... ugh!

The problem is if you don't stay on top of technology, it really does suck when new stuff comes out. The difficulty factor multiplies in getting used to it if you fall behind. The drawback to this is you are never really current and to stay current, it costs money. The minute you buy "New to You" technology, it's already obsolete.

It's a catch 22 no matter what you decide.

So, you're saying my "New to Me" `04 Sea Breeze is obsolete.

And just to mess with your head, most of what you can buy in electronics, computers in particular, is already a year obsolete by the timing of when the development of the new products begin and when the previous generation is released.

I think you just need to stay current enough in technology to be functional and not obsolete yourself.

I'm the other way.. I have used touch screens soo much in the last year that when i go back to a regular laptop, I try to use the screen

My grandkid is constantly yelling at me for leaving finger prints on his. "Its NOT a touchscreen!! UGH!!"

All different ages for different people. I can honestly say that my mom has never been on the internet and last I knew, neither of my parents had an ATM card. When you are at a disadvantage in this world because of your lack of technological advancement, then I'd say you're risking becoming obsolete.
