But how could it be considered obsolete when nothing newer is available.

It's available.......just not on this side of the pond.
It's funny, it only takes about 12 hrs to fly here from Japan, and it takes 2 years for technology being sold there to fly here.

Actually I am contemplating mounting a sign on the lower left of our unit saying
WATCH HERE
WHEN WE MAKE
RIGHT TURNS
I was sitting on Highway Four where it intersects a major cross street attempting to make a right turn and there was another large vehicle (delivery truck) to my left attempting to make a left turn. A dude pulls between us effectively blocking the road because he couldn't see either way (right or left) because of us and neither of us could turn because we would wiped him out with our tail ends and there we sat. Really silly situation that could easily have been circumvented if the dude would have not tried to crowd in.

BTW, that's not Photoshoped. I had those decals made. I'll see if I can dig up a piece of red vinyl for an arrow.
The top left is a decal of the graphics that's on the side of my sand rail. The original Interstate decal was toast and I needed something to hide the removal shadow.

One time, on the way into my hood, I straddled the center line of the right two lanes to make a safe turn... right in front of a cop. I may have hurt his feelings by slowing his progress to the nearest donut shop, but he wouldn't stop a truck for doing the same thing.

I want the one that I've seen on big trucks.
Left side - passing side
Right side - suicide

I can't count the number of times I have had some goof pull up on the right side when I have swung out for a right turn. I only ever squished one. I used to haul long loads of logs and you really had to watch the tail swing on corners either way. Got a few people that just couldn't wait!!

They're everywhere, they're everywhere... And all kinds....
Times must be tough. Gotta feed the kids, big and little somehow. I haven't seen this many candy monsters in 10+ years. I used to give out scoops if ice cream, but I'm fresh out this year.
Anybody been to Walmart today/nite? I was there for over an hour last night, but there was nary a Walmartians to be found.
