Actually, I think it's "gunite." Cement covered with plaster.

I just realized that our Bounder is one year old today. Happy Birthday, Bounder!! Goodbye, factory warranty.

My pool was originally built with Marcite which is a plaster. The Diamond Brite is a cement ( thank you Route 66 ) that covers the plaster.
