Dont get me wrong, I dont really care what anyone uses, just dont attack/belitte me for what I use. FanBois I do not like..

Wasn't belittling anyone...JMHO concerning the risks with windows-based systems...without going into specifics, do have just a little security systems engineering background. I guess I'd say that with the number of viruses being initiated worldwide daily on windows-based systems, the inability of both government and corporate systems admins to keep up with them, the number of data breeches and release of personal information...it is a nasty digital world out there. Big problem for windows based systems...and yes, a growing problem for Apple-based systems.

So don't get in a twist...you're right in one major respect...if you don't go to the wrong places, and if you don't open suspicious emails and attachments, you reduce your risk
But you also have to hope your email buddies don't either:(

I killed the dingo thread until it was given a new life by some really slow readers.

This thread has run its course. There is nothing left to add and thus it has completely gone off topic. Does anyone know where I can find a moderator? we need this closed.

I had to double check I was in the right thread after reading your "There is nothing left to add and thus it has completely gone off topic." I'm still trying to find the topic anyone would be "OFF" of.

Wow.. had to go back more 11 or 12 pages to see what I posted

Wasnt saying you were belittling, per say.. Just 'fanbois' in general.. People always come up with just how many virus, or breeches, or whatevers there are on Windows machines without also saying just how many more Windows machines there are. And, no one ever mentions that MOST of the breeches are due to simple human error.

When somone does find a security flaw in a Microsoft product, Microsoft pretty much shuts it down in 24 hrs or so. Apple cannot say that.

However, the fact still remains that the top ten security risks do not come from Microsoft or its products..
