I haven't had any good useless off the topic information to provide.

HLN said there was a bacon Fest going on someplace in Iowa. 8000 tickets sold out in 3 minutes. You have to have "Tickets" to eat bacon?

Dunner its a ruse put on by the state cops. They ticket those speeding to the festivities.

I think Les Nessman was behind the original scam. Had something to do with Pork Belly Futures.

"Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, this is just terrible! The crowd is running around pushing each other! Oh, my goodness! Oh, the humanity! People are running about! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Honestly, folks I don't know how much longer... the crowd is running for their lives."

From the WKRP Turkey Drop episode.

I watched WKRP all the time.

The exact quote alludes me but paraphrased it went something like; "I honestly thought turkeys could fly."

That episode had to be the funniest of a long string of very funny shows. Too bad TV comedies are not written anywhere near as well nowadays, other than "The Big Bang Theory" .

I too was a WKRP watcher. There isn't anything near funny on today's programming.
