Speaking of electric fences and dead threads..... A couple of girl friends of ours own an old school trout farm and were having trouble with a big old black bear destroying their wooden fish rearing tanks. They were advised to put up electric fences but the bear just ignored them and continued foraging. Their next idea came via my son who told them to stick tinfoil strips over the powered wire but to get the bears attention they were to smear peanut butter all over the tinfoil.

Needless to say the very morning after the peanut butter application there was evidence of an attempted intrusion by the bear and a peanut butter free piece of tinfoil. There was a very smelly pile of Yogi Pooh just below the tongue cleaned tinfoil and so far (about a year) that bear has chosen to to return to the fish farm.

Trying to see where I can make up the $900.00 a month I'll lose if they furlough us 4 days a month starting in April. I don't have enough blood to sell so maybe a paper route? I still have a bicycle.
Gotta love the idiot politicians!!

I thought of that but they only recycle the cans here, no glass. I was thinking I could siphon gas out of neighborhood cars and MH's then sell full 5 gallon cans for $15.00 - it would be 75 cents cheaper per gallon buying from me so I know folks would buy it. Just wonder how many times I could sell the same folks the same gas before they caught on?

Back off-topic. So much for Global Warming. Somebody needs to return their prize. I mean... snow in Phx and blizzards across most of the nation.

"On February 20, 2013 there were many snow sightings in Scottsdale and North Phoenix. It still didn't officially count because there was no snow at Sky Harbor Airport. The last time there was officially measurable snow in Phoenix was in 1937."

So... if a tornado hits central Phx but doesn't hit the airport, does that mean Phx didn't get a tornado?

Flame suit on.

They abandoned global warming long ago when the temps all dropped after the solar maximum ended. Now it's "Climate Change" which is so open ended that it can mean anything .

The supposed scientists researching the fight against climate change have known the real cause of the north polar ice melting for about ten years. The major wind flows carry soot and particulate from China up over Kamchatka through the Bering Straits and out over the north polar ice cap. That soot then settles on the ice and snow, starts absorbing sunlight in the form of heat and melts the ice.

If the problem was really caused by CO2 then the melting would be universal and equal around the globe and we know it is not equal nor universal. The south polar ice cap is said to be growing and kind of defeats the CO2 myth.

The real reason the scientists do not want to disclose what they know is that their funding will be cut off and they know they will never be able live to fight China.
