I'm more of a chewy bacon fan myself, especially if its thick cut . Love to gnaw on a nice big hunk of bacon fat .

Ummmmm........ 911 would not be necessary if both above items were "crispy".

If it weren't Kosher bacon maybe one of the RVers of the Jewish persuasion could be official witness?

Looks like they built that bottom thingie on the handle so it doesn't slick out of your hand. (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Les, what's the drive like from your place to Nakusp? I'm told that there are places on that road where even the drive feels like closing his eyes. We have friends from the states headed that way and they want us to join them at some Hot Springs Resort.

There are two routes you can take. Hwy 6 to the Needles Ferry, cross over Arrow Lake and then up to Nakusp.
The second route, and the one I normally take is Hwy 97 north up to Hwy 1 at Sicamous, head east to Revelstoke, then turn south on Hwy 23 to the Galena Bay Ferry.

Hwy 6 has winding roads and some steep grades. Hwy 23 is a nice straight run. Better highway.

North route is about 20 minutes longer but better.

Which Hot Springs are you going to and when? There is Halcyon Hot Springs Resort, the one we always go to. it has a campground with full hook ups and a beautiful restaurant. Then there is Nakusp Hot Springs which are up the mountain. Nakusp is older and more rustic but a nice campground. Only has water and power and no restaurant.

Let me know which one when. We might be able to swing a meet.

We are headed to Mirror Lake and Ainsworth Hot Springs in the Kootneys for May long weekend. Our first trip out in the new rig.

Thanks Les, my brother was the one telling about the road over from Vernon and he said he wanted to close his eyes but he was driving.

I am not sure which as it was my wife who took the message but it is the one with a spectacular view of the lake??? Hellen and Denise chatted about it and then I got the translation when the call was over. They just got their unit and I don't even know what they bought.

The May long weekend we will be at Miller's Creek Landing camping with family and friends and fishing for trout. Our group historically takes over the campsite from Wednesday to Wednesday and the party just rolls along.

We are looking forward to seeing you over the course of this summer at some point in our travels.
