Thx. Tried my bacon Sunday. Host put it in the fridge and it got soggy. I like it crisp on burgers.

My son left for AirForce Basic Training this morning, got to go see him off and we'll be going down to San Antonio in July for his graduation. Great opportunity for us to take the rig for a nice long drive and pick up some of them hatch chili's. They're great with cheese and bacon!

Only 635 miles between San Antonio and Hatch New Mexico. The harvest in Hatch is usually around end of August - first part of September. Not sure if you can find fresh green - but dried red and frozen green will be available somewhere. Most assuredly in Hatch. I think Hatch is like DFW - centrally located a 1,000 miles from everywhere. Sad

I'll have to try them, but they're probably not as good as the bacon wrapped ones.

I'll be spending a couple of weeks in NM in June. I always pick up some of that chili when there. I will also hit El Pinto restaurant while there.
Beens, chili with bacon and guacamole... May start a new trend, eh!

Do they make the bacon dogs with cheese or do I have to add my own. What a minute... Wouldn't if be way cheaper to just buy the dogs and add your own bacon wrap and cheese it to your taste?
