Next up on the best seller list. The Small Fries and Diet Coke Diet.

When I was a younger man, I went of the Miller Lite Calorie Exchange Diet. A bottle of Miller Lite was 96 calories (round to 100). A biggie diet coke at lunch saved me 200 calories. The small fries another 200. That gave me 4 Miller Lite exchange units for the evening. Similar adjustments to breakfast and dinner saved me 600 calories or 6 exchange units. A total exchange of 10 units or 1,000 calories. I could drink 6 Miller Lites that night and save 400 needless calories. I can no longer stand those beers and drink mostly imports. The values are higher, but I drink fewer and the exchange system still works. Although it is not in evidence at my waist line.

How are you going to measure it? Pant size or overhang of the pant size!

I can see the need for some firm guidelines for measuring.

If I could follow guidelines I'd be firm and there'd be no need for measuring.

So I assume you are a serious contender for the yet-to-be-named prize?

No pics! Please, no pics. Once seen, some thing can't be erased from the mind.

Now I have a vision of a robust man bent over fixing pipes. My wife says I need suspenders, just when I thought I looked kool.

Do you know what middle age is?

That's when your middle is the same number as your age!

If I was so inclined I could complain about a sexist remark here.

Which reminds me, I was out catching some rays yesterday and the neighbour two houses down called and asked me to move. I was blocking the sun from her vegetable garden.

It was supposed to be the generic "guys" so as not to leave anyone out. Hey, while I'm dancing on the edge of political incorrectness ... Why are large ladies referred to as BBW and men not called BBM? The men should protest inequity. We are sometimes big, and most certainly we are beautiful, eh?

Bacon - demanding equal time with vegetable garden. Although in fairness - veggies will never ketchup.
