Everyone is trying to be the last poster, so they can be the final thread killer! But it doesn't look like the thread is ever going to end. How long will this one last?

Ok, Dexter is an awesome series. A bit strange(ok,totally wrong!) but is very good. Plot line- young kid realizes he really enjoys killing things, step dad(cop) can see where those feelings are going to take the kid as he gets older so he "teaches" him to use his affliction on people that "deserve" it. You know- the criminal types. That way as a cop he doesn't feel as bad that his son is a serial killer. The son is even smart enough to get a job in a crime lab and that really helps to hone the old craft..

Pretty scary when you think about it, but it's a great show!

Now, Stephen King is the man along with Clive Cussler and a few others. Under the Dome was a great book- not sure if I want to ruin it by watching it on the tube. The Dark Tower series was absolutely enthralling. I read the series at least 6 times just waiting for the next book to come out. Really wished I would have taken the advice of the author on the last book and just not opened the door.

Some other good series- Divergent
Any of the Percy Jackson series as well as the Legend series

slickest1, I see you made the evening news and fooled a lot of Chinese tourists. Where did you get that great fur suit you were wearing?

I watched the late news last night and seen what you were talking about. That is about a 1/2 hr away from here. Wasn't me, but it will get people going again! We have the Sasquatch legend around here, Les has the Ogopogo in his area, what have you got on the Island?

Me, I get quite scary runnin or swimmin around nekked.

Actually we do have a legend about some big creature living in Cameron lake about 9 miles from me out highway 4 toward Qualicum. The locals call it Cammie and it resembles the Loc Ness thing-a-me.

Monster hunter considers third expedition to Cameron Lake - Parksville Qualicum News

Honest, it isn't me in any way shape or form. I launched a boat there a year or so ago and damn near went through puberty in reverse; that's how cold the water is in that glacial fed lake.
