Happy wife... Sorry it didn't measure up. Lots of fish and lots of sea. At least you didn't drive it home to her and find out she didn't like it. And while you're not doing the MH route you're together and seeing some sights. Not all bad but I know it's a let down. Keep the faith.

Wadda I know we wuz onna boat. Huge but still a boat.

We had a great time and truly enjoyed ourselves. Next trip in the motorhome will benefit though as the chief engineer told us this boat got about 8 feet to the gallon at 18 knots.

Whatever he gets Denise and I hope to have him host a whine and cheese party in our honour as we return from the prairies mid September.

I will have to post a pondering in the other thread.

We just watched this on the local news. This happened on the far side of the Island, about 60 miles from where we live. Enjoy

I'm still reelin from my whirlwind tour of disappointment. Spent a lot of money, 3 full days traveling, 6 airplanes in six days, a lousy airline canceling a flight and spending the day in the airport, an RV being sold out from under me while I was in the air on the way to buy it, a sh*tty hotel that wouldn't give us our money back so we left early anyways and an empty driveway at home.

Ya gotta take it in stride though!

And how was your week?

Dogpatch ... All I can say is you sure got the full attention of the "club of misfortune". You were whacked good and hard. The upside is that it can't get worse, or can it? Next time let Mort do the deal negotiating. He appears to be very familiar with getting scalded.

So the hunt for a worthy RV is in restart mode? Or are you going to take a breather? The seasonal buyers market is approaching, so you may actually get something at a lower price.

Couldn't resist posting this.

Now you can roll in smoky goodness.
Ford announced Wednesday that it's selling vinyl strips of bacon to detail 2014 Ford Fiestas.
Is this a porky prank? A crispy slice of a publicity stunt to turn one of its most popular models into a rumaki on wheels? Nope.
"It's obviously kooky and a little irreverent," Ford spokesman Dan Mazei told The Huffington Post. "But that was kind of the point. We thought it was a really cool way to show off how to personalize your car."
Mazei said Ford chose the Fiesta because it was popular among millennials, a demographic looking for something different.
The carmaker timed its pitch to coincide with Saturday's International Bacon Day.
The custom-graphic "pièce de résistance," Ford said, is the full “Bacon Wrap,” consisting of 10 giant strips. But you better be bringing home plenty of bacon to afford it: It'll cost you $3,347, plus installation.
Want to sizzle for less? Two strips on the hood cost $191.25 plus installation. "Mini-strips" run $78.75.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment Les. Better to loose a little looking than to buy one and not be happy. Sounds like it was a marathon trip. The right one is out there somewhere!
