That reminds me Les,I will have bacon for breakfast today. We have been doing the Buffet's and they are great but short on bacon.

I only get Bacon on weekends. I go to work to early for a family breakfast.

Yes, I said work! I know many of you don't remember or care to remember that word, but I still have to deal with it.

Work, the bane of my next 3 decades, or 4 the way things are going. You could always pre-fry the bacon or get the missus to do so and hang it pinned on a line. I decided today would be a quarter work day from home

Someone's going to have to through some bacon in here now or we're in trouble. All I have is this "low nitrate" healthy stuff my wife bought that won't do anything.
Dogpatch, was I quick enough?

That's not geekery that's generation gap. I'm the generation who was exposed to NES in the first grade-ish age bracket. I'm the generation that had the civillized DOS and original Mac OS, not that Apple II stuff or This new age OSX stuff. I was born before The Empire Strikes back came out. So I'm not young by any stretch of the imagination.

You have to love don't have to come into the office work days if you're pre retirement age though!
Born between New hope and Strikes back myself, we didn't get a NES till it was almost off the market, folks didn't like video game consoles.

Worked with ProDOS in Apple IIe, the original floppy booted MAC OS, MS DOS 5.0, 6.0, 6.11, later Windows 3.10, 3.11, NT 4.0, 5.0 and so forth.

Looking at at Slingbox SOLO, they're under a $100 on Amazon.

Best way to kill a thread with really no topic, is to kill it by confusing the hell outta everyone with nerdspeak .

Don't ask me how much I paid for my Slingbox when it came out on market I have a MAC SE30 sitting on my main desk in my den (but by their naming convention should have been /x not 30 but I regress. I'm the geek who introduced to those a decade and under the fun of using that computer, a C/64, and my XE. Yes they know what *8, and how to navigate directories. I'll be introducing them to Amiga and Windows 3.1 later.

For non-techy hows this
My first car for my use was a B-body. Had air-suspension in the back, velour seats (oh so comfy), gutless small block (oh boy was she gutless). Cassette deck, power seats (yep both sides high tech baby!). She ran around as a cab for over a decade after my parents sold her and her younger almost identical twin. I think the next owner of her sister drove it to church on sunday, groceries on monday and beer store on wednesdays and that was about it.

Like I said earlier i'm the one in the family that makes my bacon straight and crispy. Someone else here makes it chewy and curly, yet doesn't like olive oil on pizza. Weird.

Well, the good news is, you're back on the "Freedom 98" plan, right?

Silly mod don't you know you're supposed to be on a power trip and have a maniacal laugh as you censor the under a year members like mad? You aren't supposed to form friendships or be friendly with your friends. You should sit in a throne and overlook a series of big monitors in your living room or as you should call it Command Center Central. There's a british show called Yonderland. You should be like the evil lady who gives orders to the villainous mastermind. Wearing a veil, possessing a loud and commanding voice, your profile hidden by the smoke. Oh wait no. That's my former boss

Actually, I re-calculated my anticipated age I will be able to retire.

I should be able to do it about 5 years after I'm dead!

Dog patch didn't someone forget to tell you. They actually declared every one deceased in Canada 6 years ago so they wouldn't have to pay Canada Pension, Old age security etc. So you actually retired 1 yr ago.

BTW methane blast. See good way to prove you're a thread killer.

Just curious: Do these undead threads put undue stress on the servers?

BTW, having a great time reading this. You guys should consider vaudeville.

Hey Les, I see on the other thread you are joining the sick list. My wife started that the day after we left. The warmer weather combined with traveling and living in the coach seemed to be a good therapy. She is feeling much better.

Just kidding, I hope it passes quickly!
