I still hear my Mom talk of the many uses of the "Sears-Robuck" Catalogue while in the outhouse. Entertainment (reading) and use after crumpling the read material to a soft texture.

When I lived back east where it snowed we had a family ritual in spring, for picking very small, newly forming dandelion greens, for use in tossed salads. The smaller the plant you picked, the juicier and tenderer the flavour. Oil vinegar salt and pepper and a salad fit for a king. Out on the left coast the dandelions don't freeze off and regrow so I am forced to sit back and rejoice in memories. Lot fewer calories that way too. Oh and you left the long tapered root because it would grow another set of leaves.

She spoke of a "two holer" but I understand that was just in case of an emergency.
I couldn't imagine!

So that's how it is. Have yer way with us and get campfire, take what ya want and then we never hear from ya again. We're not yer average, run o the mill, leave the bacon on the picnic table group here. Is there no length to the indignity we will suffer to kill this thread?

You need to try my brother's award-winning dandelion wine.

I guess not. BTW I'm not going anywhere, I need those camp fires. You do not realize the enormous street creds they carry.
