A thread killer (alternate definition) is someone who eats excessive amounts of Bacon which in turn causes the body to expand to the point of bursting the seams on ones clothing. Hence, Thread Killer!!

Threaded discussion, a group of messages or postings to a newsgroup, mailing list or Internet forum on a single topic
Threadkiller, apparently none of us!

So, I think I understand the thread killing aspect but don't totally get the relationship to bacon.

Google 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon. Then think the real, honest to goodness of actual bacon. The relationship of bacon to anything is 1 to 1.
Lettuce - BLT
Mac and Cheese - Bacon
New car smell - Bacon
Thread killing - Bacon
1 Degree of separation of bacon.
Sir Francis Bacon - Bacon Cheese Burger
Hope that helps.

I have killed a couple of threads on a gun forum or two. Search for the right ammo for here...

Hey Mike - I'm turning in but howdy!
So bacon as a side... hmmm. I always thought eggs were the side in bacon and eggs. And bacon was always the star. But I give it to ya cause it's late.

Sorry, but gun discussion will definitely be a "thread killer." Choose another topic please. And pass the bacon.

Checking out your avatar I thought it my duty to warn you some states have laws concerning the use of bird dogs in the window!
(Back in my trucking days, radar detectors were referred to as bird dogs, not sure if that's still used today or not, hence I explain.)
