If you are referring to the 'Weather Rock' that hung at Jim's Appliance Store in Sequim, I'm not sure who's watching it. I believe the store is a carpet store now. Back in early '70s I drove delivery truck for Doxol Propane out of Sequim and delivered to your area , P.Twnd, Quil, Chim, and to top of Mt Walker. Jim's Appl started in the old Doxol bldg where Dairy Queen is now.
Just came back from 2 months in Sequim, sure was a relief from the heat here in Tucson, it's only 93deg on my patio right now, fall has finally arrived.

Hmmmmm...
Jim's used to have a store in Port Townsend, too- it's been gone for quite a while. Now you've got me worried about that Famous Rock!
Surely it's still there, though. I don't see how people could possibly know if it's raining unless they see the rock actually wet
I don't get up to Sequim much and haven't thought about the rock for some time. I might have to drive over this week and see if it's still there.

If it's gone just because you moved away and left it unsupervised,
you're gonna have some 'splainin' to do...

Those are overrated. I do have the backbone but, unfortunately, your photo got censored the instant I posted it (or the servers melted down).

At one time had one in P.A. and Forks, too. The one in Sequim is now Strait Flooring, Inc.
Jim sold the stores a long time ago and retired.
Don't blame me if the rock is gone, I moved away in 1980 and left you in charge of it.

w6pea,

It might only be 66deg, but look around at where you are. I lived in Rancho Cucamonga, CA for 15 years and was glad to move to AZ in '94. Would never move back to CA.

You- left me in charge of it?

That'll be our little secret here locally, right?

Of course it's our local secret, if they found out I left YOU in charge of it, the mob carrying pitchforks and torches would be storming my castle.

Are you sure you moved away in 1980?
That's the year I got here, and you seem mighty familiar with my local reputation...
