Mostly dark with a pretty good moon. 30ish tonight and a chance of flakes in the morning. Low 40's tomorrow. Supposed to be back to 60 by Sunday.
But... it's almost 6:30 before it gets dark now.
More daylight might kill this thread!

Yep about like ours, down to upper 20s tonight with flurries by morning. Weekend will be warming up. Really been a light winter here, not that we have a lot of really bad stuff, but some.

The Farmers Almanac said we would have colder than normal temps but also drier than normal here in N. Georgia. That is exactly what we've had. Only a trace of snow so far. We'll see what Feb. and March brings our way.

I don't mind a little cold weather... say 3 days at the most, then I ready to go south...

Our winter is not so bad normally that I need to leave out, But, our summers can be hot! We found that we enjoy the mountains ie. Colorada or the beach ie. Pannama City, Myrtle Beach, etc. when it's hot!

Skuza Me but youa can keepda crappa all too youself!!!

When I lived just beyond the north end of I-75 I historically got more snow in a day than we here on the Island get in a complete winter season. The good news is, so far this year we are at .75 of an inch of snow and counting.

The bad news is my back yard can just about float the Titanic. Boy are we ever getting rain.

Here are the reasons we do not want to wait to purchase.

Three years ago I was involved in an accident and almost became a quad. Thirteen months later I was broadsided again. Thirty days later I was broadsided again. Lucky?, more than anyone can know. Before this I was willing to wait until retirement to "start living my life". After something like that where I was not at fault in any of those three accidents "waiting" to live is no longer an option.

We also need time to learn how to do this. We both camped and TT and pop-upped when living at home but this will be our first ever MH. It is exciting! I want to travel and see things all over our country and I am no longer willing to wait until I retire.

We have been saving for years, paid everything off, and have the cash for this and the first 2 or 3 years of costs (we believe). It seems all I do is work. I am in the medical field and there are too many days where patients are just dying under my hands. The stress is huge and the workload to intense. I need the break now, not in three years. I had a right ventricular ablation on Dec 22nd, I cannot afford to wait any longer.

We don't want to just get into this thing and drive away. We want to take short trips and learn how it drives, how it works. We plan to take classes in driving the MH. I have seen and been in enough accidents to last me a lifetime so this is my request. I have driven a MH once and did fine but it is a MH and we will be towing a car behind on a dolly.

Besides, camping is fun and I want some fun. When I was laying there after the first accident waiting for emergency personnel to come help, I was so scared. I thought, if I die, all I will ever done is WORK. Not really, but it crossed my thoughts.

There are so many fascinating people out there to meet. I want to meet them. I want to sit around a campfire and watch the flames and drink a wine cooler. I want to roast marshmellows on the sticks my DAD made over 45 years ago. I want to see a different horizon, see a beach and walk upon it. Walk among the trees and listen to a water fall.

Long I know, but some of the reason why now. I can wait on the rig maybe another year if I don't find it in 2015. After that I will have even more money saved probably buy a more expensive rig, depends on what I find.

I will find it when it is meant to happen. Larry, those are my husbands clubs and they are sacred. Besides, I love him and look forward to being out there with him.

Will see you all another time, have a great evening and morning, I will be at w--k. Lynne
Lynne,

Your reasons are certainly valid.
We all share a kinship for this lifestyle. Some live it full time....some, like my family and I, enjoy it part-time.

I wasn't trying to tell you what to do. I was suggesting a larger pool of used RV's if you could shop nation wide. But to explain further, you could be free to look nation wide the day after you retire.
All your reasons are what make you, you. I will be lurking nearby and hope you find your rig.
