That's only if it's sold.

According to my registration, I own the Beaver. It's not my wife's Beaver to sell. If she had it her way, she'd never sell her Beaver.

Wrights is a nice Campground. Be happy that the Dalla Galla Family Reunion is not being held there this year. Loud bunch of notoriously noisy people who disregard proper campground etiquette when an argument starts about the virtues of political parties, religions or each other.

Hello Thread Killers,

I drove 240 miles into Ohio today to look at 5 Winnebago's and an Itasca (so basically 6 Winnies). Thought, great, there should be something there with 6 of them to look at.

Four of the Winnie's had leaky roofs (black mold on the inside) and the 5th had been torn up pretty badly on the inside. When I say torn up, I think they had a drunk party on the inside and took a knife to the floor and fists to the cupboards. This one was priced at $29,900.

The Itasca? Your opinion. When the outside roof has bubbles that are visible in numerous areas even though no stains show on the inside, my guess is not good. Then there was the delamination on the side and bubbling of the basement doors.

What I thought was REALLY questionable though was the frame around the basement doors and slides. It was quite rusty and when you pushed against it it gave. The stairs were quite rusty and it was so dirty inside I question if the people who owed it ever cleaned anything.

Now, I have bought some houses that were rough and fixed the problems but this is more than I want or know how to tackle.

So, do you guys say NO like me?

The Girl

What year were they Lynne?

The issues that you are going to run into in the $30,000 and under range will likely be the same unless you find one that has been stored indoors for most of its life and has not been on salted roads or lived near the ocean.

The good ones are out there, but you're going to have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet the prince! LOL

Les,

Between 2001 and 2005. I have missed out on two that were good and 2000 and a 2001. They are out there but today they were all bad. I know it won't be perfect but some people don't take care of anything.

I may step back a while and give it a rest. Will keep looking in case something comes up, but some of these are simply awful!

Every time you pass - make a deposit in savings if ya can... little amounts add up. Keep the faith - they're out there. What Les said about fogs is true - but it's true in all the price brackets so keep your eye out for a winner - look 5 to 15 k above your target and negotiate down... or dig a little deeper if it's the right one. And you will know it when you see it.

Lynne, Have you checked the classifieds here on IRV2? I've seen some what I thought were good buys there.

Now back to killin' this thread!!

I saw that thread, was ready to swoope in and get the kill, my seemingly simple post to get subscribed to that thread got pulled for " not making sense".

You mean we have to start making sense now
Boy I'm in trouble now!

Congrats coach!
