If you go to buy a chain for your Stihl don't get the one with the green dot. They are anti-kickback design and they throw out a fine sawdust and get dull quickly. Get the yellow dot replacement chain and it will cut 10 times better!

Besides... that's misterconstrued.

Ever notice how the sound of a chainsaw brings the neighbors out on their porches to see what's happening? Maybe they are worried that someone is taking trees from their property. Or the other possibility is they think I should cut my wood before midnight.

Bear sure seems selfish, buying himself a new chain, yellow dot and all. I on the other hand think of others first, so I put a new chain on Mary's saw just last winter.

I know, for a killer I'm really a nice guy!

Bear hope your not trying to get rich selling logs. Still have about a load of logs that was scattered about my place that the loggers have yet to come back and get. My son rounded them up with a dozer and is planning to make a call to the logger this time to get them moved before he burns them. Prices are down, can't even give pine away!

Wink I don't care what color dot you got, stay away.

I had some hard wood, but I would not want anyone to come close with a chain saw...I don't care if it is a yellow dot or a green dot .

My wife wouldn't use the Stihl... I had to buy her an electric. Now that's a nice guy.
Last year I had a 30" oak taken down and the tree service said I would be better off using it for firewood than to try and sell it. So I did. I'll be burning more of it this year.

Your trees are safe. Just clearing a few small hardwoods for firewood. Too many oak, maple, sourwood, beech and a few others I'm not on a first name basis with. There will be plenty left. Trying to get a little sunlight in here.

Electric chain saw!!

You do know those have to be plugged in, right!
I find very few plugins out in my woods!
