So YOU'RE when of the doddlers, I hate following!
That's why you get such good mileage...you never step on the gas!

Just kidding Lynne, the Prius is a well respected car.
Is yours the Hybrid?

Les,

It is the gas and electric version and I tend to have a bit of a lead foot at times. Usually surprises people when they get passed by a Prius. I have had some guys in big trucks hit the gas until they pass me cause they just can't let a Prius pass them. It's hilarious!

I have had as high as 90 MPG (ONE TIME ONLY) and the road conditions were specific to get that. Most of the time I get around 48 to 54 MPG. Got it 3 yrs ago because I drive 31 miles to work one way and wanted something economical. It works.

I've driven it into town (about 8 miles) without using any gas but it is slow going to do that. I play with it to see how much I can get. When you are going down hills, no gas, when you have your foot off the gas, no gas, sometimes when just on electric you have to be careful around people because they don't realize the car is there because it makes no sound. Don't want to hit anyone.

It has more pick up then people would expect. It's paid for and that is great too. Are you one of those driver's who travels 65 to 70 on a two lane road?

Just one more subject to keep this thread alive! LOLT Hey Navy, The Girl
