We had a great Thanksgiving, the weather was nice, this morning it is raining really good, which is good it will bring the Desert flowers out. In the next few days we will be going out into the Desert in military type 4x4 vehicles to explore the many acres of the Anza - Borrego Desert State Park.

We hope you all had a great Holiday.

Hey all. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. By the way how did I get elected to be shot out of the canon. After all the food yesterday I don't think they make one big enough for my butt.

NNDG's to the rescue.

LOLT

Navy here for the long haul

Until next time, Navy out.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but the cannon is not legal in State parks. I don't know where Navy is, I will look under the Cactus to see if Navy is taking a Siesta but at this time I feel I will be looking for a Navy in a hay stack. The rain stopped and it is beautiful weather here in the Desert . I would love to live here, but my wife says no . I guess she is to young to appreciate the solitude of the the Desert life.
Navy..where are you?

Butt that's OK as butts tend to squeeze in when pushed very hard. Think clenching.

Will there be a next time, only the Shadow nose knows. Which would likely be Mt Rushmore.

Hello Thread Killers!

Hey Navy, I knew you would be on the job just like all good NNDGR's would be.

LOLT Keep it alive and going, what else do you plan on doing with your days.

Yesterday we went in a 10 x10 ww2 military truck into the Desert . It was interesting and shook up my back, my Chiropractor will have his hands full getting me back in alignment. We saw some interesting things and got some great photos

Today is working on my tan line by the pool. Tomorrow we leave for Indio. Maybe I will find Navy and we can plan our cannon shooting act over a bottle of fine Italian wine. It is really good to know I now have a cannon partner. Don't worry Navy, if you don't fit in the cannon, we will get a bigger cannon.

Eeeerrrr - cannons and fine wine do not mix well. For that matter neither do cannons and cheap wine.

However all mixtures are fine if you are auditioning for the Darwin Awards.

What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
I don't know and I don't care... and that's where I'm residing today.
It's raining here in N Georgia and it's not cold enough to have a fire.
All the good leftovers are gone.
No one is asking simple enough questions for me to answer.
I've read all the comics I care to read.
Nothing needs fixing that is within my capabilities.
I think I'll take a nap and dream of old dogs and children and watermelon wine.*

*The opinions expressed here are strictly my own (with a slight influence from Tom T. Hall) and are subject to change as soon as it stops raining.

Up early as usual, no clouds, no rain, just clear skies and typical cold desert morning weather.
Siting here having my Morin coffee,, Cookie is chewing on her bone, the wife is doing laundry. Watching the sun come up it's a beautiful sight to see. I hate to leave here today, but we are going to drive around the Salton Sea on our way to Indio. We are leaving one desert area to go to another desert area. Indio is in the middle of civilization, as Anzo Borrego State park is sort of out of the way.
I had to drink the entire bottle of wine last night, I was waiting for Navy be she never showed !
So I felt obligated to finish her 1/2 bottle for her.
I am thinking of a double barrel cannon, I shoot out of the lower barrel, Navy then seconds latter shoots out the top barrel and flies over me and we land Simultaneously. .....
Simultaneously.
