My dad & his buddies are McGyver... hoping some of it rubs off on hubby. He's pretty good but has limitations, such as plumbing & electrical, so he's like my super hero in training.

I'm not to vain to admit that at 65, I only had 3 teeth left. Smoking claims a tooth a year and the ones left weren't enough to retain my lowers anymore. I have had a full upper since `07 and decided to get implants for full lowers to snap onto. My jaw ached slightly the next day, but Vicoden fixed that. The process was actually painless. I have to wait 3 months for the jaw bone to heal around the titanium implants. If you want to know how much they costs, Google is your friend.

Get this: I fixed the hinge on his exam light and he "gave" me a free $500 reline for my uppers. I'm sure I paid for it, but he made it sound like he was "giving" it to me. I got another $400 of for paying with my CC instead of payments.
My dentist, the dang shots hurt worse than anything else! He ALWAYS hits the nerve striaght on!

Mine puts some numbing jell on first, then wiggles my cheeks(face) when he injects.

Jim, you're going to the wrong dentist. Explain to him that if he makes your mouth hurt, you'll make his hurt. Or change dentist. I know a great one in San Antonio.

Mines does the "wiggle cheek" thing as well. Can't ever feel a thing.

I don't like the smell of burned ground tooth or the freezing for hours after. That's what I dislike.

My dentist had the Novocaine reversing agent, but has never used it. It's also very expensive.

Special rules for "Are You A Thread Killer" thread: Admins/Mods must remove said hat and install "Tin Foil" hat before posting in the "Are You A Thread Killer" thread. That's a joke 66, only a joke... Just like this thread.
