We have something in common. I used to ride our cow too. Her name was Fauna. It was really hard to stay on her when she ran.

Lol... I think I may have a picture somewhere. I don't remember her name. They are broad for a kid to straddle.

We moved a electric fence tonight by feel! It was so dark we could barely see but we needed to open them up to more grass before son, DIL and I disappear in the deer woods! Mary said we better get it done as she wasn't going to be throwing no hay while we're gone!
We've got one steer that was bottle feed and acts more like one of the dogs. It comes up so you can rub its head. His name is Ribeye and I suspect the grandson will be on his back before long.

During my misspent youth in Wales we used to go cow tipping, usually walking home from a country pub. The theory was that cows slept standing up. Sneak up and just give them a push. Usually ended in chaos and us covered in dung.
Like many things back then it always seemed a good idea at the time.

I never tried it... are cows sound sleepers or do you have to sneak up on them? I can just see you a couple pints in sneaking up on a sleeping cow or two.

I don't know why but your coment made me think of this
Quote:
A wife goes out for the night with her girlfriends. Just before she left, she assured her husband that she wouldn’t be home any later than midnight: “I promise, honey.” Unfortunately it happened to be ladies night, which meant the cocktails were only half the usual price and the night got really fun and really late.
As the woman finally arrives home, she closes the door just a little too loud behind her. She quickly checks her watch. “Damned, it’s almost 4 o’clock in the night. I probably woke up my husband with the slamming door and now he’s gonna hear the cuckoo-clock strike four. Wait, I got it, I’ll wait here for the clock to strike and then add 9 extra cuckoo’s.”
She does exactly as planned and goes to bed feeling satisfied her little scam worked. Even totally smashed she managed to escape a conflict. The next morning however her husband says: “Baby, I think we need a new cuckoo-clock.”
The wife puts on her most innocent face and asks why. “Well, last night the cuckoo-clock said cuckoo 4 times, then waited 2 seconds, said cuckoo twice more, then hiccupped, then another 5 cuckoo’s, then said “Oh crap, was that 12 yet? Let’s start over”, cuckooed another 12 times and then tripped over the cat and tooted.”

Can't for the life of me make the connection though.

Cow tipping, what about toilet tipping?
I recall in past years Halloween was rife with toilet tipping in our town.
One of the forward thinking residents decided that he had had enough of setting the toilet back up after each Hallows Eve. So after dark he went out and skidded the toilet ahead about 3'.
Later that night there was a commotion "out back". It seems the toilet tipping crew did not have enough light to see the toilet was not where it normally was and rushed up to tip it over. Footing was problematic!

We did not do Sheep tipping, We did Sheep dipping to get the ticks off the Sheep.
We used a block and tackle with a large belt / strap and lifted the Sheep up and into a large hole in the ground filled with Sheep Dip. We mostly had to do this when we bought Sheep from Texas.

I'm more of a chip dipper myself but I have dipped a few vegetables!
