Am I one of those?
I obviously love this forum and maybe I say some things that rattle some cages; but, I don't mean to kill the thread. Sometimes it seems like I do. I do it just to add another viewpoint and ; I guess just to participate, not to kill the discussion. Should I apologize to the starter after I (unintentionally) kill his thread?

Max; Guess what, I was wondering the same thing. You will see any number of threads, where I am the last poster!

Maybe you just brought the thread to a final view point where no one has anything left to say?

There are times when the choice of words can be very offensive and not really intended to be so. I have found that asking questions is normally less offensive and generally get a better response. And there are those that are offended if there is an opposing opinion.

And I thought it was just me!! I can't believe how many threads end with one of my posts. Hope this is not one of them!! Then again maybe no one has a better answer after mine.

VERY well said. I don't know about the thread killer theory though. It's true that in written communications it's easy to misinterpret the words some use but that usually leads to flaming rather than the thread ending. I'm inclined to believe that "having the best response" is closer to the truth.

This observation is so true and if everyone would consider it before they posted there would be less contention in our threads.
