Jim, I truly hear ya.
I grew up in MN and had land in Northern WI. And wish y'all, even all y'all (plural) could come on down.

Day/night is 75/45. Long pants until 9am, shorts until dark. Pool and hot tub anytime. Okay, torture session over.

Los Angeles County California. The hottest place in the nation. It was 39 this morning.
I lived in North Dakota, that is why I am here.

Here in Melbourne, Fl., everyone is preparing for the BIG winter blast. It's suppose to get to 50 deg. with a low of 46 come next Tuesday. While it's still in the low 80's, I made a grocery store run for extra supplies and I managed to find my emergency winter shorts. Still, I'm a little worried if the heat pump still works???

Right now Im sitting in my coach in Palm Bay FL, its 80 degrees outside and the sun is beating down on me. I'd turn the A/C on but the slum loard of a friend that is letting me park in driveway at no cost only tossed me a 15 AMP orange extension cord :-( It's killing me..

Hey neighbor, drink two glasses of iced tea and call me in the morning. We'll survive!

spritz: Better hurry, sites are going fast!

Forecasted to get down to 16F tonight in the DFW area . . . yeah, about 100 degrees cooler than we are used to!

I guess the lawn won't need watered this week, though.

Back in the 60's by Friday, though.

Feel so bad for those of you suffering with 80+F temps.

Our forecast for Monday night, Tuesday morning is -12F here (central Ohio). Supposed to have big winds also, for -45F wind chill. Will warm up to 2 on Tuesday.

We keep our rig in an unheated, uninsulated machine shed. Fortunately, it does have a 50A rv electric outlet.

There are three zones for the aqua-hot furnace - zones 1 and 2 are in the living area, and 3 is for the basement (and plumbing) compartments. I changed the zone 3 basement thermostat to a residential type, which will let me control the temps above the standard 50F maximum setting on the old rotary dial thermostat. I will run the basement set point up to 65, and leave the living areas at 60. If we lose power, I will have a little time cushion to get out to the rig and get the genny fired.

We don't like using the pink stuff, but this cold blast may change our thoughts on that.

It actually got down to 12 degrees. Okay, that's enough, too much like winter
