I just tried to look at the "Campgrounds" section for Washington State-Those postings are as old as some of the jokes I've heard.
Surley all of us arn't setting at home making up stories about our exploites, or keeping secrets about our finds.
We all need to be more excited about our trips and let the rest of us know so we can point our big iron beasts in that direction-Or in some cases head the other way.
SHARE-SHARE-SHARE!!!!

Thanks for the insite Jerry but I was reffering to our own iRV2 site.
It is saddly neglected, and I know our friends are and have been out camping.

And what was the last campground that you visited and wrote a review for the forum?

Thanks for the reminder, we all should participate better.

Quick report:

Steamboat Rock SP in July - too hot and too busy - mainly tenters with boats. Camping area some distance from boat launch, particularly without a toad in 105F climate!

Blus Shastin (east of Peshastin on SR97) neat place on a shallow river. Great for out Labs to go swimming. Sites are a bit narrow for slides. Owners are ex-pat Brits. Nice park, definitely on our revisit list. Cooler because of altitude.

Wanapum SP, Vantage. Nicely kept park, awesome views of the Columbia. Out in the sticks a bit, so stock up on the way. Can be very windy.

Manchester SP, near Port Orchard. Nice park for those who like woodsy surroundings. Interesting remnants of wartime military camp. Spoiled for us by persistent rain. Lots of good hiking trails, but not well signposted or mapped.

Will dig back into notes and tell about OR coast in a day or two.

frankdamp,

Please place your reports in our Campgrounds section for all to see. Your comments here will easily get lost as the thread moves down when other, newer threads get posted.

I am as guilty as anyone for not doing so. My excuse is that I'm having so much fun exploring new places and having new adventures that I fail to do so.
Merry Christmas everyone.

just my two cents worth....

- when I thinking of posting a review - i think of RV Park Reviews :: Home
- when I looked here, found reviews not to be current

do use RV Park Reviews :: Home a lot!

regards, peter

In order for our reviews to be current, we need members to post. Just think, if every member who visits a campground enters just 1 review, our Campgrounds section would be bursting.

One advantage here vs rvparkreviews.com is members can post photos of the campgrounds they visit. Many times website photos are misleading - we've all been surprised arriving at a campground that appears nothing like what the website photos showed. By having members post photos with their reviews, we can see the campground through the eyes of our members rather than the campground marketing photographer.

I urge all our members to take a few moments & comment on any campgrounds they've visited. It's very easy & we'll all benefit for it.

I hesitate sometimes to review campgrounds as we almost never use the showers or bathrooms. We always shower iin our Camper. Does that matter?

Funny you should mention this. Years ago when iRV2 first started I posted about 20 some reviews. Then something happened and all reviews were wiped out.

iRV2 tried it again and I posted another maybe 20 reviews and wouldn't you know it, something happened again and all the reviews were lost.

After the second wipe out I just never got back into posting reviews again.

Perhaps I'll give it a try this new year since we can post pictures as well.
