Could be spark electrode
Could be wrong spark gap
Could be high voltage wire to spark electrode
Could be circuit board
Could be bad ground
Could be No DC
Could be???

I will find the model. I have the diagram and its electronic ignition.
I have changed (which was really easy by the way)
- circuit board
- Thermal cut off
- Spark Probe.

What works:
On-off switch
I can hear the solenoid valve

Propane gets to it. I can stick a lighter into it..It will fire up..but go out.

I think its somewhere near the pilot light but what is missing is the rapid ticking before it lights..

Nice clock joke btw..

I am getting low on choices on my parts list.

What does a spark module do?

Given what you've posted and what you've replaced, the evidence is pointing to the igniter. Assuming all the other new parts are good, the problem stems from the igniter because 1) it does not spark, and 2) the flame will not stay lit even if ignited by another source.

That igniter, I believe you refer to it as a "probe," needs to be a specific distance from grounded metal to spark so you might check that adjustment. Also, check that the grounded metal is clean and bright. The igniter also needs to be within the flame when the burner ignites because it is the "flame proving" device that tells the control board that the burner is lit. Since it is new, check the installation specs including all connections. If the wire to the igniter is bad, you will get your symptoms.

Though the igniter is the main suspect, it still may be the control board. They have been known to be bad right out of the box. Old-biscuit can speak to that regarding the brand of heater and brand of control board.

Remove the spark ignitor and lightly sand the area where the two metals meet. A bad ground is likely the cause.
FWIW, this Atwood water heater service manual may prove invaluable: http://www.rvrepairmanual.com/manual...er-Heaters.pdf
