Atwood XT 2-Stage Furnace

Does anyone have any experience with the Atwood Excalibur XT 2-Stage furnace line?

The concept is that the high speed fan and high heat is used to initially heat up your RV, then it switches to a smaller flame and low flame to maintain. The advantages are quieter operation, less DC power and reduced propane use. My thoughts are that any full or most time RV should have these instead of the loud single stage furnace RVs come with now.

We have a 2 stage furnace but it is a Suburban. Works well for us when we use it.

Thanks, I didn't know they had one also, and I think mine may be a Suburban.
A google search doesn't show a Suburban 2-stage furnace but the Atwood pops right up. I would certainly want a 2-stage furnace on my next RV.

I have a two-stage Atwood furnace, the model 2334. It operates at 23k btus or 34k btus and has a two speed fan as well. It is very quiet in normal operation, i.e. 23k btu and low fan speed. I've heard the fan speed kick into high when the set temp on the thermostat is several degrees above the actual inside temp, but not sure if that means the burner also went into 34k btu mode. The high speed mode is definitely noisier, though not all that much.
