Auto Park Buzzer

2001 Winn Brave 32 WH Chasis

Just got rv back from Chevy dealer who "fixed" auto park system. A buzzer sounds when the shifter is in the park position and goes away out of park. The brake appears to work and the lights come on and off in a normal manner. Is the buzzer coming on normal or should I take it back to the dealer in the morning? Thanks for any input!

For 10 years I owned a 2001 Brave 30W until I traded it in on a diesel pusher earlier this year. I had many problems with the autopark feature. It even went out on me on the way back from Alaska.

The best information I found was from a guy named Roger Haag who uses the name oldusedbear in his internet personna. His address can be found at:

Oemy's Web Site - J71 Autopark

He seems to be the guru on this issue.

Good luck.

Are you saying the buzzer sounds whenever the lever is in Park and the key is on? I don't think that is normal, but I haven't owned a Ford chassis coach since 2002, and that was a 1996 coach. Maybe things have changed.

I had a 95' coach on a P30 chassis with APB - never buzzed.

Brain Fart??

I would think that a buzzer in park would be wrong. It might sound if the brake was still on shifting into R or D. I'd call the dealer and see about getting it corrected.

Unhappy

Yeah, I definitely had a brain fart. Auto Park Brake is on a Chevy chassis.
