Auto transport name for a toad damaged in florida?

I need auto transport recommendations? Our Toad a Honda Pilot was damaged by a fire while on vacation in Florida last week. The car is being repaired by a auto body shop in Florida and now we need it to be transported back to New Jersey. I would appreciate any name recommendations.

Thank You,

Kurt Reinhardt

I don't have a specific name for you, but when I lived in South Florida there were many snowbirds who spent half the year up north who had their cars transported between the New York area and Florida, either on car transporter trailers or even on Amtrak. I googled "car transporters florida to new york" and came up with lots of hits. Hope this helps.

Kurt,

I have a 24 year old son who is waiting to go into the Navy. He just drove from NJ to San Fran and back in June.

If you are interested, you could fly him down to FL and he could drive your car back to NJ. Cover his expenses and pay him for his time. May be a cheaper alternative. PM me if you are interested in discussing.

Kurt,
I'm wondering if you've brought this up with you're insurance company? Seems to me like this return trip to NJ might/should be part of your claim?

Playing devil's advocate, what happens if your car is returned to NJ and you find an issue with the workmanship or something not done you expected to have done? Or find the delivery person is a chain smoker?

Generally, the shop is not going to release that car until you sign that check from the insurance company covering the damages. Once the check is signed and the car accepted (by whoever) I'm guessing you'll have far less leverage when it comes to dealing with anything being wrong when you take delivery of it in NJ. The Florida shop sure won't be worried much about it. It's doubtful it would be returned to them for anything?
