Auxiliary braking systems and tpms
Any comments in the irv2 Auxiliary braking system with tpms system? What is the most favored braking system with tpms.

There are many favored braking systems and many favored TPMS systems, theses are not interdependent. Get ready for a stream of both favorites.

Running the TST 507 TPMS myself, like it. Simple to set up and works great. Braking system by RAM.

TMPS I use Pressure Pro and very pleased. Tow Brakes is Air Force 1 works directly from the air brakes, previously had M&G also very good.

I have the TST system. I guess it's OK.
Brake is the NSA "Ready-Brake", or whatever they call it this week. It's a surge brake that applies the toad's own brakes using a cable. It's purely proportional and works well. This is our second unit. (We started with one of those electric things mounted by the driver's feet; total PITA!)

iRV3 brake system with Tire Patrol
We have invested in the RVi3 brake system for towing our F150 behind our motorhome. They also have a tire pressure system called Tire Patrol that ties into a separate command module and tablet. All seems to be state of the art, but we had an issue with the tire pressure sensors on the pickup being transmitted up to the the tablet in the front cab of the RV. They said they were retuning the sensors to a better frequency to allow for longer ranges, and were very helpful in refining this process. I do like how simple the braking system works, and am hoping when I get the new sensors (any day now) the tire pressures (and temperatures) will be always right up front next to me. Dan Decker is the main guy and ALWAYS right there to talk and help if there are issues. Watch their videos to understand their products.

Toad brakes that apply via surge will apply everytime you go down a Mountain Pass or steep grade and use your Exhaust Brake or Jake Brake causing brake wear.

I am using TST 507 for TPMS and Brake Buddy for toad braking, Will be replacing it with SMI Air Force One soon.

I think you will be very pleased with Air Force One. The only other one I have experience with is the M&G which is also direct from your air brakes and I would have gone with it when I changed to my Ford Edge but the M&G would not fit due to lack of space at the brake master cylinder.

Your are not correct, the surge braking system has a preload to prevent this braking when just the exhaust brake is being used. It takes the service harder braking to have the surge brake activate.

Talked with Dan Decker at RVi3 yesterday, new pressure sensors on the way, all is set he assures me. I have been using their aux brake system for a year and that was simple and works good.

I don' believe so, you send the sensor back and they replace, I think cheaper than a new sensor. Hopefully others will chime in, I may be wrong.
