Thumbs down Avoiding theft during storage

Newbie question.
While looking for our trailer, I noted that several dealers had posted signs stating that all TV's had been removed from the trailers. So, it got me to thinking. TVs would be easy to steal from RVs on storage lots. Is it worth pulling some of the more valuable and portable stuff out of the trailer before leaving it? If you do remove some of the stuff, what do you take home while the RV or TT is in storage?

A few years ago, our previous Motorhome was broken into at a dealers lot for repair. Several were broken into that night. Most had severe door damage, we had a hand bar on the screen inside, that looked like a lock bar ( just a coincidence). They pried open a side window. I would guess they were druggies. It made us sick to look at the mess. Looked like a tornado had gone thru it. They took the radio, a camera, and the coins in a basket. Given time, they might have taken other things, but that's what they took. They had to remove the radio, but left the HDTVs. Who know their thought process.
