Awening arm piece broke

Anyone know what this part is called. The storm last night didnt break it, i broke it puting the awening away "after" the storm. I tried to go out a few times and put it up but the lightning was too bad. There was a break in the huge storm and the awening made it through just fine. So put it up and in a hurry i slammed the arm shut and broke this piece, i didnt know at the time that the storm was over and i put it up for nothing... my luck and all part of stupid me week.

I can still use it but i would l ike to replace it, i just dont know what its called.

Awning slide thingy .... Both mine were cracked. If anyone else is reading this, Inspect yours to see if they are cracked.

I replaced them before they broke. Don't use the rivet that comes with the new one, I used a stainless bolt and self locking nuts.

I had to look it up and it appears it's called a slider assembly. It's part of what is called the secondary rafter arm assembly. The slider itself (the gray part) is cheap, saw prices from 9 to 17 dollars. The secondary rafter arm with slider attached is under $30 on the big river in South America website..

From the picture you've posted , I'm sure you've got an A & E awning , the logo ( decal )should be in a couple of places, on the outside of the awning arm where it hooks to the lower support on the side of the RV. Stylized lower case ( ae ) The part you need , has been the same on my last three RVs with manual
A & E awnings.

Looks like it may be from an 8500 model but as Skip suggested, it's best to look for the decal to make sure. Can't remember exactly but i think it's on the roller tube.

The sticker on the roller says sunchaser and it was built in 06 but i cant read anything else on it. There is a number printed on the part that broke, i dont know if thats a die number or part number. Ill check it out.

It says 730377 002 on the piece that broke. I come up with a part number of 830463P so ill try it, ill get two just in case.

Awning control arm. You can buy that piece or the entire arm with that attached and just slide it on after taking the small screws out at the base of the slide and reinstalling them after you slide the new one on.

I replaced mine last fall, The were both cracked and ready to fail. Camping World has them $8 each. Dometic part number 830463P

When I replaced mine, I didn't use their rivet. I used two small stainless bolts and self locking nuts. Check out the link to the article on how I replaced mine.
