Welcome to iRV2. My assumption is power is not the problem.
If snow is on the awning the weight will keep it from rolling up. Awning motors have just enough power to roll up a slightly wet awning. Anything more (like really wet) may be enough to keep the awning from closing.
One must get the weight off the roller bar. Get a floor broom with a long handle (or something similar) and push up on the roller tube while someone tries to retract the awing. You'll get a couple of inches before having to reposition the broom. Reposition the broom and move a couple more inches. Keep going until the awning is retracted.
