Awning repair

I have a manual awning (not powered or automatic). The material is similar to a plastic y canvas. It has a 1/2" hole in the fabric just above the camper door. Is there a patch kit for these?

Camping World, and I imagine most RV parts stores, have a sticky clear tape for repairing awning fabric. Our last MH had a 'L' shaped tear in a slide cover(acrylic) and it lasted 4 more years with the tape applied on both sides.

If your door caused the problem, make sure you have one of those little roller things mounted on the door to protect the awning.

Depending on the condition of your awning fabric, you might also consider a new fabric. Cost around $150, and fairly easy to replace.
