Back Up Camera

2005 Scotsdale 32' Class A. If I have replace my backup Camera my questions is it looks like every camera including wireless need some sort of power to the actual camera at the rear itself? I am currently sourcing my power starting at the monitor, cable or camer itself.
Thanks
Scotsdale

Well yeah since there is no physical connection between the camera and the monitor that camera has to get power from somewhere. What about the running lights as a source?

Most of the wireless cameras get the power from the running lights.

Just looked at a picture of your rig and the existing camera is mounted right below the running lights.

One thing, do not get a backup camera. Look for an observation camera. They have a greater range.

Got a trailer plugin?.....Can draw 12 volts from there, and if you want it to work only in reverse, the backup light circuit will supply power
