back-up cameras safe from vandalism?

I just got a new GPS which supports addition of a wireless backup camera. So I'm looking at camera options.

The backup cameras I've seen mount in places like the license plate holder of your rig. It seems like someone could easily just remove and walk away with these little hi-tech devices. My question is this... Has anyone had any problems with them getting stolen from off their rig?

PJinHawaii-

What model GPS did you buy? If it's a Garmin, you may be limited in what wireless camera is compatible (without extra doodads).

Our Garmin RV 760LMT is compatible with the Garmin BC-20 camera. It is a little cube-shaped thing. It could be mounted anywhere on the rear of a coach. I mounted ours inside, looking through the rear window. No chance of being stolen there.

I'd expect that backup camera theft is rare.

Most people can't tell the cheap ones from the good ones, and the cheap ones are under $10 on ebay these days so I doubt many people would bother.

license plate cameras

PJ in Hawaii,

Just use security screws they work great. We sell a lot of these type of cameras and have not heard of them getting stolen.
