Backsplash
I’m considering replacing the the mirrored kitchen backsplash in my Discovery with a nice tile.
Would I use regular thinset and grout?
I imagine there’s a little flex in the wall that could cause problems.

No, I don't think any tile in a motor home is applied with thin set mortar. I used a tile adhesive and used the latex additive to the grout to minimize the chance of the grout cracking and falling out. We used these tiles from Lowes in a 13X13 sheet.
I know my floor tiles used a black rubbery adhesive and I literally had to break up the tiles to get them off the floor when I replaced three that cracked. I used Gorilla Glue construction adhesive to put them back.
This is what the floor looked like.

I agree with the Lowes tiles they look great and allow a little flex that the rv is bound to have and their lighter.

Use mastic, works well, easy to use, premixed in bucket, will allow for some flex.

Thanks for all of the info.
I wish that I could get away with the peel and stick but my wife wants the same mosaic tile as we have in our home.
Thank goodness I will only need 10 pieces....

If the wife doesn't like the new backsplash and likes the one at home, let her stay there.

When we bought our Road Warrior 427 in October 2017 we notice the backsplash was different, it was actually screwed on. When asked why they did that Heartland said they had too many issues with the previous year falling off since it was just glued on the wall.

We used the stick & peel tiles in the bathrooms and will be using it to replace the mirror tiles in the kitchen, when I get around to it!

I would but she’s a dang fine cook , and she’s also easy on the eyes.

A nice alternative to tile are peel-and-stick stainless steel "tiles" available at Lowes or Home Depot:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Stainless-S...-76-in/3477521
I installed mine right on top of the existing mirrored backsplash. They completely covered the mirror except for an un-noticeable fraction of an inch at the top. If the gap is noticeable, you can always add a strip of moulding to match your cabinets.
