I Agree Sarah!

Rules are for and apply to everyone. There are no exemptions. 100% compliance.

Sultangris, Do you feel you don't need a drivers license because you are a good driver? What other rules don't you feel apply to you that everyone else needs to follow?

The no leash needed because my dogs are special, blah, blah, thing is getting old on this thread. Everybody else that follows the rules doesn't agree with you! Time to give up the fight. You'll never convince anyone that pit bulls and dobermans are alright to be off leash. Or for that matter, that any dog is alright off leash where it is a rule or policy to do so.

Sorry if that comes off harsh, but we need to move on.

Just thought of another one that bothers me. And please note, I rarely feel upset over campers behaviors.

You know how a lot of RV parks, campgrounds, etc. have only one spot for your toad to park. Well some parks you have to park perpendicular in front of your RV. I don't like it when I come home and the neighbor is halfway in my spot.

I have never said anything, I always do my best to avoid conflict. I just hope they look out their window and see me doing a almost impossible parallel parking job. Lol

My small pet peeve has nothing to do with pets. It is my irritation when we get parked then take a close look at the picnic table. Is it just my crummy luck or have others found grease, grime and crud on the table, and seats? Something like you would expect in a mechanic's workshop. Do some campers rebuild carburetors on the picnic tables? Of course we carry water proof table coverings, but the backsides still should not be subjected to axle grease, or whatever. One of the many nice things about Corps parks is that they power wash the tables, benches, and grills frequently.

I break lots of rules, as I'm sure all you do as well. I don't leash my dogs,i speed,i don't use my blinker if no one is around,i don't make complete stops at stop signs,i ride jet ski with no life jacket,i go within 100 feet of other boats,i chew gum in class,i drink alcohol on the street,i run at the pool,i dive when it says no diving, i park on the wrong side of the street, the list goes on and on. I'm a regular billy badass, they should lock me up and throw away the key, lol! None of the rules i break has any negative effect on any other person.

Rest assured if i had a dog that ran up to people or other dogs when they walk by or was aggressive it would be on a leash. [moderator edit]

I'm with you there, that's highly annoying!

How about when you find initials or profanity carved into them? Very common in state parks.

We use disposable table cloths.

But the worst we ever found was a group area we rented for a week. There were wads of toilet paper and human excrement in the bushes all around us. Tampons too! They had also chopped up two of the picnic tables & burned them in an area where no fires were allowed. We found out that it was a church group! The rangers got dozens of complaints about them setting up a satellite dish and watching porn on an outdoor TV.

I don't know what kind of church it was.

My pet peeve is when I am not even in a campground but my own home. We live next to a very popular park. Lots of tourist and idiots. You think you get upset when people walk through you campsite? I really get aggravated when I am standing on my front porch and people walk through my yard, right in front of me. Excuse me! This is not the park. Pretty obvious by the No Trespassing and Private Property signs you just passed. And stop leaving your McDonald's wrappers and cups in my front lawn and your dog's crap by my mailbox.

And how about when a fellow camper comes by every day and tells ya the same story over and over again. It was ok the first time - but having been to Yellowstone myself multiple times - at some point, hearing about the wait for Old Faithful to blow gets old. It's like they have one memory and can't remember if they told you or not. A good reason not to stay in the same place too long.

I especially don't like the one about how good the fishing was before I got there. And then there's the guy that... Never mimd - Takes all kinds to make a Campground.

I heard Alaska was going to split into North and South but the Texas legislature objected 'cause then there'd be two states bigger than Texas

Wouldn't doubt that a bit. Plenty of bad campers down there in the state house.

BC was going to vote on joining the USA. We didn't get around to a vote because Alaska and Texas were heard moaning about us as a state being bigger than both of them combined.
