I'm with you Capt. Chet, variaty is wonderful when it comes to lobstah. My mother was born on Long Island, off Portland. I still have family that are still on the island, all were watermen.

Another must do is watching the sun rise from the top of Cadillac Mt. You can drive to the top. But bring warm clothes, it's cold before the sun is up!

Nuff said .... bring a wet suit and mosquito repellent.

Not to be missed as well is the "Portland Head Light" probably the most photographed lighthouse in the USA.

We stayed at Bar Harbor campground,they don't take reservations or credit cards,cash only.You drive around and pick out your own campsite.There is a free bus that picks you up at the campground for a round trip into town.It was convenient and we would stay there again if in the area.Its on the water and the rates were very reasonable. We stayed at Moorings on the way up,its at Belfast but a little too far for sight seeing in Bar Harbor.

We'll be workcamping in Bar Harbor from May 15th - October 15th. That's pretty much their whole season. We've never been that high up in Maine. I'm from MA and went to Old Orchard Beach as a kid.

Glad to read about the lobster house in Trenton. We'll be staying at Timberland Acres RV Park in Trenton.

Privet campgrounds are $$$$$$ if you can handel no hookups except water and a dump stay at seawall national park campground is real close to the oceon and not to bad of a campground.. I've stayed there many times takes no reservations, so get there early in the morning for a cite.
