Bathroom Preferance

What is the best bathroom fixtures arrangements? I have seen the toilet in a closet with no other fixtures and the shower and sink in another area. I have seen the toilet and sink in a room without the bath tub. It seems that most arrangements now have the toilet separated and in a closet alone. I think I prefer to have the toilet, sink and bath tub in one room with one door.

It all boils down to what ever flips your fritter. Or different strokes for different folks. We like the separate self contained bathroom.

We have the split bath in our motorhome, everything but the shower on one side of the isle, and the shower on the other side. They can be combined into one with the closing of a door in the isle. We like it, and it works well for us.

the DW and i seem to have the same idea: toilet in a room separate from the shower. in our rv the sink is in the room with the toilet. this gives two people privacy for showering or potty breaks. and if someone really needs to wash their hands they can use the kitchen sink. there is even access to the bedroom between the two rooms without bothering the occupants.

This is subject that we have run around and around for a while.... Our first class C had a rear bath...totally contained and separate, it even had the closet for clothes in there. We loved it. Our next two rigs had split baths and we were not fond of them. The reason being is that when one of us slept late...we felt trapped in the bedroom until the other person finished in the bathroom area. We then bought a Newmar with a side aisle and a huge enclosed bathroom and really loved it. Another reason for our love is that we started to RV with our teenage grandkids and their friends and it allowed them to have a measure of privacy and allowed us to get out of our bedroom without passing through the bath area.

Now we are just the two of us again with an occasional baby great-grandchild and we love the split bath because as a previous poster stated, we can close doors and it gives us a huge private bath.

Now....we are looking at the bath and a half versions for our next RV and the debate starts again....

You will find that your preferences may change over time as ours did.

I like the open bathroom plans like some Georgieboys have. shower and sink on one side and toilet in a seperate closet. The center area is kind of open to the rear bedroom and there is a pocket door that seperates it all from the front of the coach.

Heck, DW and I were thinking we'd trade this design for something with a side hallway, both shower and toilet in a room by themselves.

Anyone have praise for the all-in-one concept?

YES, We love the side isle, 1 of our top 10 wants while shopping, I can't back into a toilet....and if needed we both fit with out any problem
All in one is the choice

Open. All 3...shower, sink and toilet in the rear - full width. Double sliding doors close it off from the bedroom. The half bath(toilet/sink) up front means 'no waiting'. Bob

Ours is all seperate - on one side of the hall is the shower and the toilet (seperate) and the other side of the hall has the sink and washer and dryer. This area is between the living/kitchen area and bedroom and can be closed off. We enjoy it this way as there is privacy but convenience at the same time. My husband has complained some of the closeness of the toilet area but he is getting used to it.

Ours has the toilet in a separate closet. DW hates it. It's tiny. It's the ONLY gripe she has about our coach.
