Battery shutoff switch

I installed a switch on my 4 house batteries (12v). The chassis manufacturer had already installed a switch on the chassis batteries (2 - 12v). Be sure that the switch can handle the maximum draw that your system requires. a 300 amp switch will handle almost anything but they are not cheap. I have attached a couple of photos of my system. I made a simple "L" bracket from some stainless steel strap and bolted it to the threaded battery post. Make sure you pick a wire that disconnects the entire battery pack. I chose to disconnect the ground terminal.

Hi sunnyorm,
If you have the room consider a simple knife switch. Google "battery knife switch" or go to Search - battery knife switch - Camping World to see a picture.
