Beating the weather

Being in Elkhart, Indiana this year feels like I live in Alaska Does anyone know how far south one has to go for golf. About 8 of us are trying to schedule a golf trip but not sure which courses may be open by the end of March. Thanks in advance!

By the end of March anything in central AL, GA, SC will be fine. I recommend Hilton Head Island, SC.

Really? I don't play golf, but I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and you can golf there in the winter. There are even a couple places here in Montana where you can golf in the winter! :P

Golf in Myrtle Beach,SC is cheaper than Hilton Head. There are over 100 courses to choose from. Year round. They have good package deals. Just Google.

In March in the Carolina's things get busy including the golf courses. Myrtle Beach has the most in the area I would head there but make reservations soon for hotels

Right now Georgia should be good, So is Upstate SC. NC is still a bit cold.

(Unless you like Snow Golf of course).. To be honest,, This condition is rapidly changing as spring is springing up on us fairly soon.

I show on official temp of 43 with posibility of ran as I type, high expected of 51 today, Low of 27 Tonight (I better winterize my regulator, 2 minute job) and above freezing rest of week predicted, 70 on Sunday.

I would recommend Myrtle Beach as well. I would watch the weather tho. It could go either way at that time of year.

If you go to myrtle beach with an rv, stay at Willow Tree rv resort in Longs SC. Very nice park.

I was headed to Palm Harbor, Fl on Monday...
Right up until they started forecasting 6-12" of snow in boston, and travel messed up on the whole mid-atlantic coast.

What IS it with this winter?

Jim

Check out Playacar Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico just south of Cancun. There are four fantastic courses in our area. You might even find a package that includes air, food, drinks golf and lodging.
