Beaver Patriot vs Monaco Dynasty

Which would you prefer out of a 2000 Beaver Patriot 37 with a 330 hp Cat with 23k or a 2000 Monaco Dynasty 37 with a 350 hp Cummins with 63K?

All things being equal in condition, amenities and basic layout.

Is the Beaver a higher end coach? Does it hold it's value better?

I'm in a quandary!

Buyers remorse? Myself I would go with the Dynasty. I would prefer the Cummins over the Cat. That's just me, others will argue. They are both great coaches and engines!

Offer accepted on the Dynasty, deposit paid, it's in for a pre purchase mechanical inspection before final signing and don't you know it....this Beaver Coach sale I've been following has dropped in my lap. Need to figure this out by Tuesday AM.

HELP PLEASE HELP!

Heck, I'd discern who did the better maintenance. Spot-check brakes, wheel bearings, tires, shocks, filters.

(Coming from someone who just bought a Patriot Thunder three weeks ago, I regard them as similar coaches. Well... the Dynasty will have better acceleration, probably better mileage, too.)

Boy that sounds like one heck of a dilemma, with so little time.

If they are good deals, buy them both. Then you could be the authority on this site as to which one IS better. We would admire your wisdom. You could give twice the advice. You and the wife would never argue which way you need to go, you each have a choice. You could even get better discounts when buying for two.

Ok, I'm finished being an idiot. ha ha

I think I'll wait for the outcome of Tuesday's inspection and resulting conversation with Dynasty Dealer. If things are wrong with it and they don't fix them, I'll cancel the deal and move on with the other.

They are both the same price.

Are you at all concerned by the crazy low mileage of the Beaver?

Yes aware. I would have it checked over and properly serviced if chosen.

Decision

WOW I am sooooo jealous. Wish I had that problem. Both of them are top rated coaches.. All things considered, which one has better maintenance records? Check each one thoroughly, to see which one is in the best condition, if equal...........
Tough choice!!!!!!

Sounds like a tough decision. Are they identical other than the engines? I wouldn't pay that much attention to the mileage. In the grand scheme of things it isn't that much of a difference. Even though we have a CAT in our Beaver I think I'd be leaning toward the Cummins due to my own familiarity with the brand. That being said, the Cat was the only compromise we made when we bought our Beaver. It had everything else we wanted.

At this point you probably have 3 lists compiled. The Must Have List, the I'd Like to Have but Can Do Without List and the ever important Don't Want or Need List. Which ever of the two coaches closest fits those three lists is the winner.
