Bed conversion from singles to queen?

We looked at a potential RV to purchase on Sunday, and really like it thus far. It's a Pace Arrow. One of the "issues" is that it has those split single beds. If we purchase it, how easy/difficult is it to convert them to a queen size? Is it a PITA, or relatively easy/inexpensive?

Did you check to see what was under the single beds? Seldom is it left just to storage. You could have the generator intruding, transfer switch, converter/charger, etc. Those items needing relocation determines how tough it would be to remove the single beds and install a center queen so you could access both sides of the bed.

I believe under one you'll find a water tank, [passengers side] if I remember right. I had 2 twins long ago and found it was far more work to try to do and finally traded the unit in. Good luck, perhaps you'll get lucky. Safe travels.

A water tank would be far easier to move than a generator compartment.

It all comes back now, generator was on drivers side, under the bed, water tank under pass. side under the bed. Just a lot to do for a queen bed. Not worth the effort. The combination of both made up my mind on what to do.

I think you will find it to be the PITA. You would be better off looking for a different unit if you must have a queen bed. I personally like the singles better.
