Bed Toppers

I have a fairly new barely used mattress in my 5er, it does look rather thin however, and I wonder if anyone has put a thick 'topper' that gave you a bit more comfort... brand and any other info would be a help.

thank you.

ps .. anyone tossed the mattress and used a good quality air mattress, or put one on top of mattress??

those look interesting. How do they fit. It looks like they are only available in standard sizes. In our case we have a queen but I do believe it is an RV queen and slightly smaller than a real queen.

All of ours, king, double, and the RV queen fit like a glove and stay in place. Can't remember if I measured it or just bought the queen for the Coach, but it has been on there for 3 years.......Heaven!

Those look pricey. I just received my 3 inch thick memory foam topper with a cover delivered to our door for $204.00 from Costco.ca That price was for a king size.

As everything at Bon ton, watch for sale, paid about 1/3rd of price shown.

Better price if you can get for 1/3 the price. The one I got was a king and a full 3 inch thick plus a cover. Came with a 10 year warranty for whatever they are worth?

Went to the site and they seem to have a good sale on right now, have to check if these are available in Canada or check the shipping, looks as if this memory foam is the clear favourite....

Thanks folks, I would have never thought of the foam as it is usually too hot, and I am not a lover of poly anything ...

Appreciate all the input, at least it gives me a direction .

BTW do these toppers have those loops for the mattress corners to hold it on?

Maybe I will have to make some.

The one from Costco comes with a mattress cover that is deep enough for mattress and topper. Tucks under mattress.

We've had foam and gel toppers at different times on mattresses. We both hated them. We've tried a sleep number and it was horrible for the 2 weeks we used it. We just finally went and got a firm euro pillow topped mattress.

That's why I tell everyone to go to several mattress selling stores and try them out. You never know what you will like until you do. Measure the one you have so that you know what size you really have.

In the US, Walmart carries a complete line of toppers at a good price and they work great. Stop by the next time you are across the border or probably there is an equivalent in Canada.

We've had two memory foam toppers at home. After nearly a year, it ended up having a couple of permanent depressions in it from our bodies and we are on the slimmer side of normal weight. Topper looked like camel humps. Got it replaced under warranty. Nearly a year, looked the same again. Grrr. Cut it up for dog beds and got a proper mattress with built-in memory foam. No more toppers for us.

After that experience, when we got our first TT, we replaced the OEM mattress with an 8" memory foam mattress for $200 at a mattress shop. It's been great. We've both got back problems and it's really comfortable. Dog loves it too (not supposed to be there tho.).

If you haven't got back problems, you will after sleeping on an OEM RV mattress. They're awful.
