Fellow across the road picked up a nice older Prevost Marathon. Told him if he ever wanted to leave it to me in his will.......I doubt it thhough.

Before they ceased production, BlueBird/Wanderlodge built as fine a MH as could be purchased. (IMHO) Never owned one, but always planned to :(

From a strictly "best" perception, I too would choose Marathon or Newell based only on what I've seen and heard since I've only ever owned my current coach.

IMHO, the $64,000 question is which coach is the best "value". I guess I'm aging myself with that $64K reference. Remember when that seemed like all the money in the world? It wouldn't pay the sales tax on either of these new rigs in most states.

hahaha. $64000 used to be able to get you a brand new Class A Coachmen Mirada AND a new car to tow with it. Now....not so much. I think Miradas start at just under $70k. $64k will get you a decent 03-04 Dutchstar though.....or a nice 96-ish Prevost conversion.

Wanderlodges still seem to be BIG bucks, given their aging status

Any of those brands built on the Prevost body/chasis, works of art imo!

You'll get lots of opinions about which is best; but if you consider actual purchases by customers as casting votes with their $$$, I can tell you which are the best selling. The Tiffin Phaeton and Tiffin Allegro Bus (the Phaeton was #1 more often than the Bus) have traded the #1 sales position for the past several years running.

If cost is not an object; I certainly would take a hard look at a Marathon. I However can't say it's the best because I've never driven one let alone own one. I can say that they look "cool".

I don't know if they are the BEST, but should we get the money we'll be traveling in a Newell. Cause that's what she wants, at least that what she thinks she wants. There are several Prevost conversions that could probably make her just as happy.
