What are some good odor killer/air fresheners? I don't want anything to flowery or too strong smelling.

I find that full timing in the tiny motorbome that I do, it tends to get a funny smell. I don't notice it when I'm inside... just when I go out for a while and come back some days and it smells.. lived in.

It's really hard to describe. It's nothing overpowering.. but a faint combination of various odors.

I guess it's a combination of dirty laundry, garbage, cooking, etc. I need something that will help absorb the odors and perhaps have very light scent, and be very compact. I'm thinking the good old fashion "disc" air fresheners might work best.. but I want some advice on what you guys use.

When we were full time living in our 40' we used an ionizer/ozonator system that worked very well.

I don't have room for something like that... plus I want something that won't take any electricity to use. The tiny 12V ones I have seen for cars won't do crap.

Really simple but not an odor eliminator. Years ago I used to put a bar of Irish Spring soap under the car/truck seat. When you couldn't smell it any longer just take a knife and cut off some of the outside. No more than those pine tree fresheners that hang from the mirror and smelled clean.

I agree those little ones that go on the heater vent don't do much.

old fashion box of arm&hammer does the trick in a refrig. put one in each room abt a buck a box, cheap fix,

Febreze is good product for odor improvement without the flowery scent.

I agree. We have tried MANY odor produces over the years in our boat and rv and these produces by Fabreeze work. They have a 0 perfum spray that we spray on all our fabrics and you do not smell anything. The only thing you have to be careful of is to disconnect your Co2 warning sensor and extinguish any pilot lights prior to using it.After a few hours you can re-light your pilots an re-activate you Co2 sensor.This is only due to the propellent used in there Aerosol products.We buy the x2 strength aerosol version at "dollar general" stores.

DW uses Citrus Magic Solid Odor Absorbers available at Wally World. Seem to work and only a slight citrus smell.

Be real careful with the ionizer machines. They do work but and this is a big but. Every piece of rubber will deteriorate with it running. Gaskets on refrigerators, slide gaskets, and the list goes on. I have used them on boats in the past and after awhile hoses in the engine room had premature failures. The cause? Ozone.

Another vote for Fabreze here. I use the original with the pump sprayer. Also, those times I shampoo the carpet, about twice a year, I add some Fabreze to the cleaning solution.

We have used Zero Odor for a couple of years. One great selling feature: It doesn't leave any film on surfaces.

There are 3 ways to get rid of odors.
1. Get rid of source, garbage, pets mess, mold, mildew, what ever. Works 100% of the time.
2. Clean and disinfect source, neutralize odor with oxidizer like bleach, Hyd peroxide. Interesting to note that many Doctor offices have stopped using Bleach to wipe down things because of potential allergy or health risk. Now many use Hyd Peroxide as it is an oxidizer, leaves no odor, no residue & or health risk.
3. Mask it with something that smells pretty. Industrial janitor distributors sell a bottle of stuff named "Sweet Pee". Also know as bus station restroom. Just masks the odor. The bars of Irish spring soap, fabreze are only temporary fixes.
Be very careful with ozonators, there is a potential health risk and can cause any rubber wiring, gaskets to become damaged beyond repair. safe travels ed

We use a combination of products. The timer activated, battery powered, Glade Automatic Spray in the linen scent when we are using the unit. I re-install the batteries and set them on max delay between aprays a day or so before we pull the unit out for a trip. We keep one in both ends of the coach and supplement with Febreeze spray of a similar scent when we are using the unit.
