best route

Traveling from Altus Ok. to Coeur d Alene Id. Can anyone recommend the best route for towing? The route through Co. and Wy. is a lot of up and down. We are looking for a flatter more fuel efficient route. Your input would be greatly appreciated

I ain't fer sure positive, but I don't thank there be anything like flat mountains and you ain't gonna git from Altus to Coeur d Alene wiff out goin' thru some regular mountains.

On the other hand, mountains ain't that big of a thing, just go slow going up (cause ya got no choice) and go slow going down (cause ya should) and enjoy the trip. Maybe most of the gas you burn going up can be saved going down the other side??

Good Luck, and safe trip

Welcome to iRV2.

I hope your not heading there this week, snowing on most of the route, in Idaho and Montana.
In 2010 I drove across the northern plains, Chicago to Spokane and can't remember any real problems. I'll dig out my notes as far as highways used, but remember you're heading into the Rocky Mountains , there is no flat route, you'll be pulling up grades on any route you choose.
